Omar KhanVice President - Operations

    Omar leads Phoenician’s business-building work with its operating company.

    Prior to joining Phoenician, he was an Industry Executive Advisor for SAP, advising executives in the Energy & Natural Resources industries on digital transformation topics. Prior to SAP, Omar worked at EP Energy, an upstream oil & gas company operating onshore US. For over three years at EPE, he led a variety of Operations Excellence initiatives across Drilling, Completions, Production, and Supply Chain Management. He was also Program Manager of EPE’s Oilfield of the Future program.

    Omar’s other previous roles have included business development for a clean fuels start-up and Operations Management for an MRO supplier.

    Omar started his career at McKinsey & Company, the global consultancy, in the Dubai office, where he served clients on three continents on issues of Strategy and Operations.

    He sits on the Board of Directors of Refugee Services of Texas, the largest refugee resettlement agency in the state.

    Omar received an A.B. in Economics cum laude from Harvard.
